Growing up in one of America's most dangerous cities couldnt prevent Kellen Brandon from persevering. The obstacles that come from a life in Flint, Michigan, are the same obstacles that helped him create a life of freedom.

As a former division 1 athlete, Brandon often placed his hopes and dreams into the possibilities of a career in the pro's. Once that dream was deferred, he was forced to look himself in the mirror and find his inner optimism. Brandon is now dedicated to helping others also find their inner optimism, apply it, and live it out on a daily basis. Kellen has placed his passion for communities into action by creating several successful programs and a business model designed to help others. Brandon Publishing now acts as a full service publishing company dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams through writing. Youth/adult programming created by Brandon include: BP Young Authors, Create Program, I Am Drew, BP School Takeover, and the Edward Brandon Book Scholarship.
